New Route Between Edinburgh & Istanbul

The increase in exciting new flights between Scotland and the rest of the world continues with news that Turkish Airlines are to start operating between the capital of Turkey and Edinburgh. Flights from Istanbul will start flying to and from Scotland's capital four times per week from July 2012. This new route should prove popular with business travellers and tourists alike and we look forward to welcoming passenger from Turkish Airlines. Emirates To Fly Twice Daily To Dubai

Emirates Glasgow - Dubai route has been so successful that from June 2012 they will be introducing a second flight. It will depart from Glasgow at 21.30 with the return service arriving in Glasgow at 20.00. With rumours circulating that both Etihad and Qatar Airways are looking to open a Scottish route, possibly to Edinburgh, it should lead to competitive pricing between the Middle East and Scotland and lead to an increase in tourist numbers from Arabia, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to continuing to provide airport transfers to many more passengers flying with Emirates and hopefully in the future to Etihad and Qatar Airways passengers who require airport transport to/from either Edinburgh or Glasgow Airport.

Christmas and New Year Fares 2011

Hi All

With people making their travel plans for the festive season we would like to announce our Christmas and New Year transfer prices. Unlike taxi and private hire companies who put up fares by between 50% and 100% at Christmas and New Year, we will only be adding 30% on to our festive tariffs. This makes KinClan MPV Executive Travel the cheapest option for Glasgow Airport transfer, Prestwick Airport transfer and Edinburgh Airport transfer services as well as port transfers, rail transfers and city to city transport in our 6 seater people carriers. The Christmas supplementary charge will run from 18.00 on Saturday 24th December to 06.00 on Tuesday 27th December 2011 and the New Year surcharge will run from midnight on Friday 30th December 2011 to 06.00 on Wednesday 4th January 2012.

Remember with 5 or 6 passengers on board one of our people carriers we are often cheaper than using public transport and always cheaper than airport taxis!

Starting this month is a new Glasgow - Amsterdam route operated by Easyjet complemented by twice weekly Glasgow - Madrid flights operated by Air Nostrum, sister airline of Iberia. Discounted Airport Transfer prices - Winter 2011/2012

Hi There

Just to let you know about our Winter promotion of 10% off all return airport transfers between Glasgow International Airport, Edinburgh International Airport, Glasgow Prestwick Airport and anywhere in Scotland, England and Wales. This discount will apply on all airport, rail and port transfer bookings made through our website from 31st October to 30th March. If one leg of your journey starts before or finishes after the above dates we will still apply the 10% reduction to both legs of the journey.

Remember our prices are for up to six passengers in one of our executive people carriers. With five or six passengers travelling our prices work out cheaper than taking public transport to and from the airport!

To give you some example fares:

Glasgow city centre to Edinburgh Airport return - promotion price: £124.00

Edinburgh city centre to Glasgow Airport return - promotion price: £142.00

Glasgow city centre to Prestwick Airport return - promotion price £88.00

Edinburgh city centre to Prestwick Airport return - promotion price £214.00

Based on the above transport prices a KinClan MPV Executive Travel private transfer for six passengers from Glasgow to Edinburgh Airport would be just over £10.00 per person each way, the price from Edinburgh city centre to Glasgow Airport would be under £12.00 per person, Glasgow city centre to Prestwick Airport works out at just over £7.00 per person and from Edinburgh city centre to Prestwick Airport would be under £18.00 per person.

Edinburgh Airport Sale

Hello

KinClan MPV Executive Travel welcomes the news that BAA is to sell Edinburgh Airport, ending the uncertainty that has been hanging over it and Glasgow airport. Hopefully this will kick on investment in both and increase competition with the benefit of bringing new routes to Scotland.

One thing that this sale will certainly sound the death knell of is the often mooted 'Scottish super airport' that had been proposed for a site in North Lanarkshire or West Lothian. With BAA losing its monopoly in Scotland it makes a merged airport in the Central Belt extremely unlikely for the foreseeable future.

We hope that the passenger numbers of seven million at Glasgow Airport and nine million at Edinburgh Airport continue to grow under the new owners. We will continue to offer discounted private transfers in our executive people carriers between Edinburgh, Glasgow and all other Scottish and UK airports. Free meet and greet service, luggage porterage and complimentary water and toffees is included in our airport transfer prices.

Glasgow Airport Transfer Times Reduced

June 2011 sees the opening of the missing link of the M74 from Tradeston in Glasgow to Cambuslang. This is great news for passengers travelling between Edinburgh and Glasgow Airport by cutting the journey time, particularly during the rush hour when the M8 at the Kingston Bridge becomes a bottle neck. Although the distance of 55 miles between Glasgow Airport and Edinburgh will be more or less the same as the M8 route, the M74/M73 option will mean there is less risk of missing your flight.
